Pneumatic seal
In autumn and winter, the programming of the Tschumi Pavilion focuses on projects that make use of a range of different light sources. We continue this tradition with DichtLicht by Lambert Kamps. Letters and words can be formed using a lighting system that functions as an enlarged display. The display consists of grids of strip lights. These lights, which are pneumatically operated, slide slowly in and out of enclosed tubes. Programming creates words and text, resulting in a display of square letters which builds words that slowly appear and disappear again. This creates a text based on a poem by the poet Tjitse Hofman.
