Dream droppings

“I see everything correlatively. In the process of my formalization it works in the same way. What is the meaning of an individual in relation to otherness? I imagine that I am an object or other being. That is how I make my works The daily confrontation the many droppings in the Netherlands fascinated me Birds can drop it intermittently or hard like a bomber with no plan One day it landed on my shoulder like fate I wondered if it was intentional or not. That was an enjoyable journey in my head, because it was purely my imagination that may not be related to the mind of the bird.
Whatever the context, what’s left in the end is purely visual, which I’ve incorporated as well. That should happen to you personally, which cannot be the intention of the artists. At the end of the process I detach myself from my artwork, it is there like other living beings. The state of Nirvana inspires me because with this state people will have no fear but still be alive, which in reality doesn’t seem a feasible state.”

About project 'Lucht'

The corona measures have hit the art sector enormously. Exhibitions and art grants have been canceled or postponed. It is an uncertain time for many artists. With the Lucht project, Kunstpunt Groningen wants to support artists and designers from the municipality of Groningen. 87 Groningen artists have received a stipend with which they have created new work, including Ottokaji Iroke. With a billboard exhibition from September 27 to October 17, we present all artists spread throughout the city of Groningen. View the work of the other artists here.
