Linde Ex

Linde Ex (1983) is a visual artist.

“The tiles were created as a physical reference to projects that often only exist as documentation material, such as photos of installations and videos. From many projects, material remains such as clay, homemade inks from algae, seaweed and peat. The tiles give me a chance to working with the actual tangible material of the project. The tiles are about 10 by 10 centimeters, a fairly standard tile size, for example for whites. I work very often with standard sizes, because they indicate a very human frame, but within that frame happens from anything that I can’t predict or control Each tile is unique and a way for myself and others to have a tangible reference to an artistic research project In addition it offers the opportunity as an artist to do more material research, which is useful for projects in the future.
A small edition of tiles is made for each project: 125 tiles per project, of which I keep 25 myself and can give away or sell a maximum of 100. The 25 tiles per project that I keep myself could all be exhibited together or published in a book in the future.”

About project 'Lucht'

The corona measures have hit the art sector enormously. Exhibitions and art grants have been canceled or postponed. It is an uncertain time for many artists. With the Lucht project, Kunstpunt Groningen wants to support artists and designers from the municipality of Groningen. 87 Groningen artists have received a stipend with which they have created new work, including Linde Ex. With a billboard exhibition from September 27 to October 17, we present all artists spread throughout the city of Groningen. View the work of the other artists here.
