Revelation project

“In the Revelation project I translate twelve of my favorite Bible stories into wall hangings. I start by sketching a core image from the story and convert this into a digital image. I will translate these images into a series of tufted wall hangings that I will exhibit in De Bloeiplaats | Modern Day Monastery. After a long time of commissioned work, I feel a strong urge to make free work again. With this series of works I want to further develop myself as a textile artist.”

About project Lucht'

The corona measures have hit the art sector enormously. Exhibitions and art grants have been canceled or postponed. It is an uncertain time for many artists. With the Lucht project, Kunstpunt Groningen wants to support artists and designers from the municipality of Groningen. 87 Groningen artists have received a stipend with which they have created new work, including Esli Tapilatu. With a billboard exhibition from September 27 to October 17, we present all artists spread throughout the city of Groningen. View the work of the other artists here.
