Guided tour of art related to the Second World War | Saturday 3 May | 01.30 p.m.

In the streets of Groningen you can find many works of art that refer to the Second World War. Some art literally houses the violence of that time, such as the impact of the Canadian tank shell at the back of the town hall. Other works, including those in Folkingestraat, were created in the post-war period in memory of the many victims.

On Saturday 3 May, Kunstpunt Groningen is organizing a tour of all these art forms in the center of the city. One of our experienced tour guides will take you from the Jozef Israels monument on Hereplein to the provincial war memorial on Martinikerkhof. Along the way, the various works of art will be explained in detail.
