Sebastiaan Haykens (1979) studied at the Visual Arts & Design Teacher Training Windesheim in Zwolle and at the Minerva Academy in Groningen.

Sebastiaan has had a professional practice as a visual artist since 2003. His work is schooled in the tradition of painting. Within this broad tradition he is constantly looking for his own visual language and signature. The subjects are close by and are manipulated until an interesting image is created.
