Serassot is the pseudonym that Rik Andreae uses when he draws. He once did an evening course at the art academy in Arnhem for a while. He has always continued to draw, mainly ink on paper. Since 2000, this has been somewhat forgotten due to writing (Andreae has 6 poetry collections to his name). After he received a box of oil crayons from his daughter as a gift after his retirement, he started again. His work is deliberately abstract and associative, with a recognizable shape creeping in every now and then.
