As a painter, my main theme became mapping, working with the structure of world maps and the layout of cities. In a world where everything was slowly turning upside down, I focused on cities that were more or less changing due to conflict, such as Aleppo, Jerusalem or Warsaw. I used the structure of these cities to look for aspects of the past, the nature of the conflicts and the memory of what has disappeared.
Recently I have been combining mapping with the portrait "Mensch und Orte", the human being present and the important location that inspires him/her.
I feel at home in painting and drawing and incorporating this into an installation in-situ.
