Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1998. Matias started painting in his teenage years, by attending courses and seminars with teachers emphasizing the construction of the human figure. In 2017 he starts presenting his work in shows and fairs, working along with collectors around the world. Since then, his work features in private collections in countries such as Argentina, Uruguay, Malaysia, Thailand and The Netherlands. Currently, he is getting his Fine Art degree at Minerva Art Academy, Groningen, NL. 

Finding inspiration in film, photography, and the masters of the 20th century, he creates imagery after popular narratives of his Argentine background. By incorporating personal memories along common places and objects, he takes one step further and makes them his own. When working with his subjects, he recreates scenes where elements of figuration and abstraction combine and compete, resulting in Matias' concept of a "suggestive image".
