My fascination is the city.  To wander around in it for hours at a time without a map. To get lost in it, immerse myself in it. Curious about what presents itself when you turn a corner. Preferably big cities like Paris, Berlin, New York, Tehran, Beirut, Barcelona. Often on foot, but sometimes by bicycle. What I encounter during these wanderings inspires me to make paintings and drawings. My work comes about as I walk through cities; I never know beforehand what they will look like.

I graduated from Art Academy Minerva in Groningen in 2012. I live and work in the Biotoop in Haren.
