Born in Groningen in 1964, I took various art-related courses after I had finished high school, including etching, video editing and editing, photography and Visual Arts at the Vrije Universiteit (Amsterdam)

After I had completed Academy Minerva in 1997, I followed various courses and worked as an autonomous visual artist since. Since 2007 I have a studio in the Biotoop in Haren (Groningen), since then I switched to homemade paint, and egg tempera with which I paint abstract work on jute.
