I was born in Meppel in 1957 and have been drawing for as long as I can remember. I have been living and working in Groningen since I was eighteen. Here I first followed the Ubbo Emmius Teacher Training in the subjects drawing and textile methods. After that I did the free direction (drawing, painting, photography) at the Academie Minerva. After my studies I developed working with mixed media on paper. These techniques are: charcoal, colored pencil, oil and soft pastels and acrylic paint. I can often be found in the landscape. In my work I balance between sending with my handwriting and receiving what the materials give back. An exciting process!

In my studio in the Hoornse Meer and on location in the landscape I give workshops and courses.

I always carry my camera with me, together we look for beautiful subjects.

I also make "collages" with paper mache on glass dishes.
