Jasper Oostland, born in Groningen on June 19, 1976, started studying at the Academy Minerva in 1994 and received his diploma there five years later. Jasper studied illustration in this course. During these five years his work changed from a comic style to a more realistic style. Jasper graduated with an exhibition of small, precisely painted paintings of frogs in human situations.
