Hanneke makes spatial work, conceptual work, paintings and drawings. The starting point can be an idea, material, a place, etc. The corporeal plays an important role in her work. In this research she moves outside the usual paths and thus rebels against imposed structures. She makes the impossible possible and vice versa. The materials she uses are very diverse. The limitation is the challenge.

Hanneke graduated from de Stadsacademie in Maastricht, Plastic Design. She also obtained a teaching certificate in Drawing, attended de Nieuwe Academie in Utrecht, as well as Vrij Schilderen at de Gooise Academie and various courses including bronze casting, ceramics, token making and goldsmithing.
