Through my work I capture the contrast between desire and disappointment, exploring the wish of temporary escapism through playfulness in trying times.

I utilize a bold colour palette and a large variety of tactile materials, such as soft rubber, fluffy textile and shiny surfaces. The exaggerated softness and dazzling colours disrupt the cold, rigid geometry and greyness of urban, everyday life. By using familiar elements from digital aesthetics and pop culture, intertwined with childhood nostalgia, I transform them into warped, playful images that evoke a sense of bittersweet absurdity.
