About this artwork.

From the oval water source a wave spirals upwards in one smooth movement and ends in a fusion with human figures. The water follows the dynamics of the wave and makes its own dance.

John Gardella's Well is part of Komplan Haren, which was completed in 2000 and aimed to increase the attractiveness of the center. Gardella’s design of the Source was incorporated into the design of the Raadhuisplein by Copijn Landscape Architects in 1997.
