Commemorative Piece, Selwerderhof

About this artwork.

Tricolour lead glass houses peek above a ring of hedges at the end of a lane on the Selwerderhof cemetery. These little cottages are connected through an organic interplay of lines. Visitors can use this installation as a focus for thinking of those who are no longer with us. And if they wish, they can jot down their memories and thoughts on pieces of ribbon and tie them to the work of art itself. Ribbons and stationery are available in a lectern at the site.
