About Klaas Lageweg
Visual artist Klaas Lageweg (1978) creates murals and paintings. Art is his means to function autonomously in our society. Klaas’s oeuvre is a combination of realism, pixel art and abstraction. He finds his inspiration in his daily environment. Klaas’ work adorns a large number of prominent places in Groningen: from Paradigm to the Rademarkt and from DOT to the main train station.
About the display window
The display window of the former Vapiano building on Nieuwe Markt has been temporarily designated as a pop-up art rental service in 2024. Every two weeks, a piece by a Groningen artist will be featured in the center window. This artwork is also available for purchase or rent through Kunstpunt’s art rental service.
Additionally, the window alternately shows work from the regular Art Rental Collection and the Studio Collection – art that comes directly from the studios of northern artists.
