“My work is characterized by color and rhythm. I graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam.

My specialty at the time: Screen printing, Composer design and Typography. And in addition, designing textile design for interiors, by using typographic letter structures, or parts thereof.

Originating from the South of the Netherlands, I ended up in Groningen via Amsterdam in the early 80s, where I further developed my visual artistry under the name Hanneke van Limburg. As an organizer of exhibitions; setting up children’s activities within daycare and as a curator of exhibitions, I have gained a lot of experience.

Over time, I have started to combine the collages, assemblages and embroideries that I make in order to to deepen and expand my field of expertise. My collected composite objects have grown into Bedenkdingen. Still multi-coloured, humorous and with a wink to life now.”
