Kitty Blüm (1968) explores in her paintings and drawings the connection between nature and the inner landscape that every person carries within them. Her work is therefore not so much a realistic representation of the environment but a highly personal translation of emotions and moods. She uses detailed shapes and powerful colors to transfer these onto paper, panel or canvas. By using various techniques, she manages to effectively capture the interaction between nature and human emotions.
In her non-permanent installations in public space she draws attention to the complex relationship between people and the environment.
She also works on behalf of various nature organizations and offers drawing and painting workshops to share her passion for the power of art with others.

The display window of the former Vapiano building on Nieuwe Markt has been temporarily designated as a pop-up art rental service. Every three weeks, a piece by a Groningen artist will be featured in the center window. This artwork is also available for purchase or rent through Kunstpunt’s art rental service.

Additionally, the window alternately shows work from the regular Art Rental Collection and the Studio Collection – art that comes directly from the studios of northern artists.
