From March 13 in the Art Lending: Mara Piccione
Starting this week, Kunstpunt presents a new Studio Collection: Solo Exhibition. This time, the spotlight is on the work of screen-printing artist Mara Piccione. On Thursday, March 13, Lydia Wierenga—founder of OFF HOOK and visual artist—will officially open the exhibition in Kunstpunt’s Art Lending space.
From large minimalist pieces to small colorful collages and monoprints, the solo exhibition Slow Reducer showcases a variety of new works by Mara Piccione. Each piece is created using the screen-printing technique in a limited edition of one, making it truly unique. Over years of working with graphic techniques, Piccione’s art has gradually evolved from figurative to abstract. An seemingly insignificant object, such as a small stone or a flattened tissue, can suddenly take center stage in her work through striking linework.
Slow Reducer will be on display in Kunstpunt’s Cella exhibition space from March 13 to April 12. Want to enjoy her work for longer? The artworks are available for loan or purchase at Kunstpunt.
