Now at the Art Rental: Lourens Stuurman

Last year's graduate artist Lourens Stuurman presents his first solo exhibition, Into the City at Kunstpunt. In his paintings focusing on cities and architecture, you see a longing for a harmonious world reflected: "I search for beauty in non-obvious places." Stuurman is intrigued by architecture and the city. "I study characteristics of skyscrapers and flats. By painting fragments of buildings, the hectic part of the city is left behind, emphasizing the serene architecture. Almost as if time stands still."

Lourens Stuurman's work can be seen at the Art Rental of Kunstpunt from April 19th until June 1st. Want to gaze at the paintings for longer? Good news! You can borrow and/or purchase them at Kunstpunt.
