Now on Display at the Tschumipavilion.
This spring, the impressive and space-filling work Symbiotic Reflections by artist Jimi Kleinbruinink is on view at the Tschumipavilion. Kunstpunt invited the Groningen artist to create an installation specifically for the glass pavilion at the Hereplein. Passersby can recognize a play of artificial and natural elements within the sculpture. In addition to mirrors and plexiglass, Kleinbruinink used bamboo and branches from the recently pruned chestnut tree nearby. Symbiotic Reflections is visible 24/7.
Volkshortus Selwerd.
Volkshortus Selwerd is a greenhouse for plants, flowers, fruits, vegetables, and herbs—in short, for everything that grows and blooms! The plants in the greenhouse are chosen by local residents and represent the more than 80 nationalities in the Selwerd neighborhood.
Come and enjoy the greenery in the Volkshortus and get inspired by the variety of plants. In the Volkshortus, you can freely grow your own plants and suggest which plants you would like to see. There will also be workshops given for and by neighborhood residents. The Volkshortus was conceived by artists George Korsmit and Saskia Janssen.
