This month's top 10
Every month we make a selection from our art collection. This time Jop Luberti has compiled a top 10. Jop Luberti is currently working on The Wall #5. "For my selection Top 10 from the Kunstpunt Lending Collection I went all out in choosing monotonous, almost colourless works with an appearance that floats from light gloom to heavy melancholy. From small to large gestures. I also looked for variation in aesthetics. I am intrigued by both the vague, expressive-impressionism of the paintings and the concrete "seeing what you see" that the photos have. However, all the works have that mysterious touch that keeps you looking. I deliberately chose the grey, dark theme, to counterbalance my own dynamic, light, colourful work for The Wall # 5, in order to maintain some balance in the room.
GRAPHICS: HOW DO YOU TELL WHETHER SOMETHING IS A WOODCUT, ETCHING, LITHOGRAPH OR SCREEN PRINT?
Kunstpunt has a large collection of graphics in the Art Rental, which consists of etchings, woodcuts, lithographs and screen prints. But how can you actually recognize these different printing techniques? In this video, Albert Westerhoff explains everything about it and teaches you how to distinguish the four graph variants flawlessly.
