About this activity.

This Saturday, February 22, you are welcome again in Y2 centrum as a participant or audience at the eighth Silophonesession. Admission is free but a donation for the opening act is welcome.

The doors at (note) the Nieuwe Markt 11 (= Forum side) open at 2pm. Doors on the Poelestraat side (stairs between nr14 and nr16) follow at about 3pm.

Last time something unexpectedly came up but at 3:30 pm Kayleigh Beard will come as the opening act with an electro one-woman act.

At about 4 p.m., the actual, multidisciplinary improvisation jam session begins.

About Kayleigh Beard: (@kayleigh.beard.music)

Kayleigh is an electro one-woman act from Groningen, who released her debut album Ocean's Pulse in 2020. Her music combines dreamy beats with high spatial vocals. Kayleigh is inspired by artists such as Eefje de Visser, London Grammar and Susanne Sundfor. Themes such as nature and introspection play a central role in her music and invite listeners to escape the daily turmoil and feel more connected to life. Kayleigh is known for her mystical style of music and energetic live performances.

About the Silophonesessions:

“The Silophone Sessions are multidisciplinary improvisation jam sessions for musicians, dancers and spoken word artists, organised by violinist Renske van Donk and improvised cellist Charles Belfor. Our goal: to bring together performers of many different styles, perspectives and influences at an artistic playground and to encourage them to interact with each other so that something entirely unique emerges on stage.”

About Y centrum:
After three quarters of a year, more than 3,000 visitors and several changes and additions, the current setup is now being changed more drastically.For those who want, the old setup can still be seen until March. Opening hours:
- Friday from 15-17h
- Saturday from 14-17h
