During this one-day workshop at VRIJDAG, you’ll create unique handmade paper using vegetable scraps like beet and carrot peels!
Discover the centuries-old craft of papermaking, experiment freely, and use your creativity to turn materials that would otherwise be thrown away into something beautiful. You'll go home with your own handmade paper — not only lovely to look at, but also perfect for reuse in all kinds of art projects.
Waste can be the start of something good. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to make your own handmade paper from items you’d normally toss out. Think paper with the vibrant colors of beet and carrot peels, the fibrous texture of celery, or a hint of leek green. We’re giving a second life not only to old paper, but also to vegetable waste!
