‘Weather One’ VR Experience

‘Weather One’ is the opening work in a cycle written by ‘Bang on a Can’ founder and minimalist composer Michael Gordon in 2005 for string orchestra and electronics. Inspired by the unpredictability of weather patterns, Gordon composed this dynamic piece, drawing on the legacy of composers like Vivaldi.

In these special performances, Kamerorkest van het Noorden adds an extra layer: blending the live music of the string sextet with a Virtual Reality experience. Developed by Happy Ship, this VR environment centers on one of today’s most pressing themes—the delicate balance between humanity and nature.
