Twisted into form - Alzheimer in 20 images

About this activity.

From 9 to 24 January 2025, the exhibition "Twisted into form" will take place in Kunstruimte De Smederij in Sappemeer, a moving exhibition about Alzheimer.

Twenty works by A.g.E de Kreateur depict the different stages of Alzheimer's disease. From the smallest cell, the germ, to the cell of inner detention. It moves maliciously. Writhes, turns into a pupa, screams silently, with all its might. The images show a gradual decline in ability and being. Anxiously or doggedly clinging to the last memory. 'Twisted into form' because twisted, in addition to twisting, also stands for malicious. The works offer no comfort. They only show a raw vision of reality.

The exhibition can be seen from Thursday to Sunday (1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.), in Kunstruimte De Smederij at Vosholen 56 in Sappemeer. Opening on January 11 (2:00 p.m.). The Twisted into form experience will take place on January 18 (2:00 p.m.).
