About this activity.

The landscape of the Groninger Wierden is full of surprises and every year there is something new to discover. This year, our visitors will set off again and along the way they will be surprised by stunning views, beautiful locations, exciting art projects and enchanting performances of music, theatre, dance, and many more. It promises to be another unforgettable edition. Performances will take place in, for example, farmers' cathedrals, former pilgrimage sites and the oldest Moluccan church in the Netherlands.

As for our art programme, we welcome artist Roos van Geffen, who will create an immersive experience in the church of Uitwierde by means of a sound installation that will give you a break from reality. But we also welcome artist Patrick Hoving. With his project 'Daar waar de wind waait' (Where the wind blows), he takes visitors along in his unravelling of the view: where the river Eems meets the sea. And in the Bierumer School you can experience the ‘moving room’ of the Greek artist Christos Mavrodis. For the complete art programme, please visit our website.
