SEEN #14: Kunstenaarscollectief De Tegel

Artist Collective “De Tegel” (2023) consists of four young visual artists: Indira de Boer, Jens Buis, Abel Kamps, and Sverre van der Velde. Currently, they are completing their education in autonomous visual arts at the Minerva Academy in Groningen. As a foundation for their upcoming artistic practice, they established “De Tegel” last year. The members of this collective share a passion for creation and also have a strong desire for discussion, feedback, and reflection.

They primarily work based on their individual artistic interests and preferences, but at times, these interests converge into collective projects. On occasion, “De Tegel” also collaboratively develops site-specific works, as was the case last May during Minerva’s MAYDAYS project. Currently, WEP (location) provides them with the opportunity to collectively create and showcase new work during *SEEN*.
