Painting by the canal

About this activity.

During this workshop, you will be inspired by the shapes and compositions found in the canals of Groningen. Once back inside, you will turn sketches and photos into paintings. Here, the goal is to abstract reality; emphasizing form, color, and composition over detailed replication of what you've seen. You will be guided through the process of creating a painting, from sketch to finished piece.

Dress warmly, as April can be chilly, and bring an umbrella just in case. In case of very bad weather, you will observe beautiful compositions from the Forum. The world from above is also very interesting.

Age: 18 and up (level: intermediate to advanced).
