Photographic investigations by Marijke and Nico Schutte

Marijke and Nico Schutte work independently of each other. In this exhibition, they combine their photos for the third time in such a way that coherence and visual rhyme are created. Marijke mainly works in the darkroom with analogue techniques. She is fascinated by the possibilities of light-sensitive paper: from paper negatives from a pinhole camera to folding spatial origami shapes and from chemical experiments to exposing negatives to sunlight. In recent years, she has increasingly focused on more eco-friendly and sustainable techniques.

Nico works digitally on the one hand, and also with the classic instant films from Polaroid and Fuji on the other. The latter sometimes produce surprising results in a combination of analogue and digital processes. In this exhibition, these include portraits in which the person portrayed is not always immediately recognisable.

Galerie Lichtzone.

Galerie Lichtzone biedt een podium aan veel verschillende fotografen. Ongeacht stroming, stijl of onderwerpkeuze biedt de galerie fotografen de gelegenheid fotowerk te exposeren. Daardoor is het aanbod verrassend gevarieerd. Elke maand is er bij Fotogalerie Lichtzone weer een nieuwe foto-expositie te bekijken.
