About this activity.

The seventh edition of the Monnikenwerk project will take place in the period from July 17 to August 21, 2024. In the quiet space of a medieval church, fifteen artists work for six Wednesdays on their monk's work - art that sometimes touches on something bigger than us. At the end of the working day, visitors are welcome to experience church and art.

Monk work takes place on Wednesdays 17, 24 & 31 July and 7, 14 & 21 August. There are three rounds: Ronde Noord Groningen, Ronde Noordoost Groningen and Ronde Noordoost Friesland. All churches are open to the public from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
