Faces, Maria Clobus

About this activity.

Maria Clobus-Gibcus has been painting in her own studio since 1985. She is self-taught and has not committed herself to a particular style. In addition to portraits of humans and animals, she also paints realistic and abstract subjects, both as free work and on commission.
Maria works with pencil, pastel, acrylic, watercolor and oil paint. From miniature to complete murals.
Twice a year a course starts in her studio. Here, small groups can become proficient with all kinds of materials in their desired technique under the supervision of Maria.

Bouk Helmers makes ceramics for home and garden. She started in the 80's with clay on the potter's wheel. Later she started with hand shapes and molds. She likes to work with round shapes, which is also reflected in her unique chickens and bird figures. Bouk has been working with groups for years, with them she often made raku ceramics. Nowadays she works with colorful brush glazes that she mixes and applies on top of each other. The changed techniques are exciting and sometimes innovative. But claying still gives her a lot of inspiration and pleasure.
