Light festival Fraeylema

About this activity.

'Light festival Fraeylema' is a new winter event on the Fraeylemaborg. Walking past fascinating light art, visitors will experience the castle and the park like never before.

From Wednesday 11 to Sunday 15 December, the Fraeylemaborg will be put in the spotlight in a very special way. The historic building will be artistically illuminated from 4 p.m. and a walking route has been set out in the monumental park along light and sound artworks by renowned makers and up-and-coming talent.

During the event, visitors can also visit the main hall of the borg, which is beautifully decorated in the Christmas spirit. Grand café de Boerderij is open for mulled wine, hot chocolate and tasty snacks.

The artistic direction is in the hands of Peter Musschenga, who also provides the special lighting of the entrance. In the park you can see work by the artist collective Werc, Rogier van der Heide, Vendel and de Wolf. Students from Minerva Academy and Noorderpoort plus students from Kunstwerkplaats Kielzog also contribute.
