La Primavera - an Italian Spring in Groningen
About this activity.
Italy! Groningen has a warm bond with it. Just look at the city center, with the Groninger Museum of Alessandro Mendini, the former library of Giorgio Grassi and the Waagstraat complex of Adolf Natalini. The Gianni Versace Weeks just ended, but Kunstlievend Genootschap Pictura keeps on celebrating this special relationship with the program La Primavera, an Italian Spring in Groningen. There is a focus on Groningen artists who have a special bond with Italy, but Pictura also shows work by Italian artists living in Groningen. And it doesn't stop with visual art: the exhibition becomes enriched with six programs about the history, politics and culture of the country. At those lectures the culinary bond with Italy is also underlined.

Pictura.
