Every year, the Kaalstaart Festival sails through the Netherlands with 3 ships full of STEM art

In the weekend of 19 April, the festival will moor the ships in the Zuiderhaven in Groningen.

STEM art is a form of art that connects art and science and technology. The artists also use their work to answer questions that science has asked them.

You can enjoy art, science and technology all Easter weekend long.

Kaalstaart.

Kaalstaart is een reizend festival voor bètakunst. Kunstenaars reflecteren op vragen uit de wetenschap. Bètakunst laat zich inspireren door wetenschap, techniek en natuur. Beeldende kunst, podiumkunst, onderzoek en nieuwe samenwerkingen worden aan het publiek getoond in en om een aantal historische binnenvaartschepen.

Kaalstaart is a traveling festival for STEM art. Artists reflect on scientific questions. STEM art draws inspiration from science, technology and nature. Visual art, stage art, research and new cooperations will be shown to the audience in and around a number of historic cargo ships.
