Jans Muskee - Naar Buiten
About this activity.
A wall with a window to make you feel like you're not locked in. A woman sees it, she looks longing, tense. The intriguing drawings by Jans Muskee from the presentation Naar Buiten can be seen in the latest Atelier collection: Solo. If you look closely, you will recognize references to art history. The presentation contains links to paintings by, among others, Félix Vallotton and the Olympia by Edouard Manet. It is characteristic of Jans' drawings. His characters are everyday, yet you get a strange feeling. View the exhibition in Kunstpunt Groningen until 27 November to discover for yourself what it is all about. And did you see something that you want to look at longer? All works can be borrowed and/or for sale in the Kunstuitleen of Kunstpunt.

The choice of
In the presentations of Ateliercollectie:Solo you can also see the favorite works of art from the Kunstuitleen collection. Jans went into Kunstpunt's depot to look for some great art. He says enthusiastically: "It is a joy to browse through the collection of the Kunstuitleen and to be able to choose works without thinking." Jans' choice has to do with his own work. “It was nice to see my work recognized by other artists,” he notes. What do these works have in common? An insignificant object, an inconspicuous corner, an everyday situation, so lovingly, designed with attention, that it lights up and becomes special.
