The Northern Netherlands Professional Association VOIC becomes INKT!
INKT stands for a professional attitude in the illustrative profession, for old-fashioned craftsmanship with traditional tools, for digital drawing with a tablet or mouse and for everything in between. INKT is committed to promoting and preserving the art of drawing in the Northern Netherlands.
Reborn association shows itself in Forma Aktua.
Images, drawings, illustrations are perhaps more important than ever. In this age of reading, a good image can best convey information to large groups of people. Many professional draftsmen are fully committed to illustrative, old-fashioned craftsmanship with traditional tools using new techniques, but digital drawing also offers new possibilities. The professional draftsman has to deal with different techniques, AI, new insights and a changing society. This makes it extra interesting for the artists to show their work with changing techniques to the visitors of Galerie Forma Aktua!
Big names have been associated with this association over the years: Jan Kruis, Nico Visscher, Barbara Stok, Herman Roozen, Frans Le Roux and more. Other names may be less known, but their products can be seen in supermarkets, on packaging and in (children's) books all over the world.
Since 2001, this association has represented professional draftsmen in the Northern Netherlands. The association focuses, among other things, on informing, exchanging experiences and knowledge and on having fun; it is a network with a smile.
In recent years, VOIC has organized exhibitions with GRID, Forma Aktua and the Comics Museum. The association organized lectures, drinks, outings and published books. After 22 years VOIC changes and becomes INKT.
INKT hopes to continue to support cartoonists in the Northern Netherlands in the future.

Galerie Forma Aktua.
Al decennia lang functioneert Forma Aktua Pinakotheek als een platform voor al het opkomend talent in Noord-Nederland. Tegelijk volgt de galerie ook de ontwikkelingen in de wereld van de reeds meer gevestigde kunstenaars op de voet.
