Groninger kunstkring De Ploeg in the Watertoren West.
From 2 September till 31 Octobre 2024, two members of the Groninger Kunstkring de Ploeg will exhibit paintings in the Water Tower West.
Reinier van den Berg
Reinier makes paintings, sawmills, objects and woodcuts. His works are recognizable by their own, highly abstracted design language and style. In his work, he explores the tension between painting and sculpture, the light-hearted and the commentary. In doing so, he explores themes in depth. In everything he is looking for tradition and innovation.
Joke Klaveringa
Joke Klaveringa lives and works in Midwolde on the outskirts of Nienoord and the nature reserve "de Onlanden". Close to her source of inspiration, namely the landscape. Capturing the light and atmosphere of the moment.
Guest exhibitor Eva Ouden Ampsen
Eva Ouden Ampsen mainly works with clay, paper and cardboard. Her work is very diverse: portraits in acrylic, pastel or coloured pencil, bags and jewellery made of cardboard, vases and bowls made of clay and cardboard. What stands out is her special decoration technique: millions of dots, which give her work an atmospheric, colourful and sometimes fairytale-like look...
The exhibition will be opened on Sunday september 8th from 15.00 -17.00 hrs. You are most welcome!
The Watertoren West is open from Monday to Saturday from 09.00-17.00 and on Sunday from 10.00-17.00, where the sky lounge is also open where you can drink tea/coffee while enjoying a beautiful view of Groningen.

Groninger kunstkring De Ploeg.
Groninger kunstkring De Ploeg bestaat uit 18 kunstenaars. Gezamelijk vormen ze een platform en organiseren ze exposities. In 2024 hebben zij een vaste plek in de Watertoren West, maar ook zijn er exposties te zien in o.a. MKTA, Obergumkerk, Thijnhofmusem.
