“This portrait is a tribute to F., an Iranian muse from Tehran. Our connection began through social media during one of the many Zoom meetings and communication platforms that became popular during the COVID-19 pandemic and the government-imposed isolation. F., a recent graduate from the Art Academy in Tehran, was determined to develop herself as an artist despite the challenges she faced as a woman in Iran.
F. lives with her younger brother and mother, and her life is deeply intertwined with the struggle for freedom. As a staunch opponent of the Islamic regime, she participates in protests, using her voice and creativity to drive change. However, the consequences of these brave actions have been severe; she was shot and injured during her resistance.
Current Communication
The communication between F. and me remains important and continues regularly through social media. We discuss the challenges and possibilities for F. to study in Europe and how this journey could be both meaningful and achievable for her. Her determination and role as a young colleague and artist leave a lasting impression.

F. is not only a talented artist but also an impressive young woman fighting for her ideals. Her strong character and ambition to achieve independence are at the heart of this portrait. I aim to capture her complexity, emotions, and the power of her message in this artwork, which is not merely an image but a celebration of her courage and passion.”
