Janneke Hogerheijde Drawing with Wire
Janneke's work is at the intersection of textiles and painting. She has developed a completely unique style that surprises and inspires people. She freely stitches imperfect lines with thread on different types of textiles. Lines of that moment. The imperfection gives her a lot of freedom to create work that consists of subtle elements. It invites the viewer to look just a little longer. Her most recent work is more abstract and has both a poetic and an industrial look. Janneke has exhibited at various locations in the Netherlands. In 2021 during the Art Month Ameland and last year in the Stedelijk Museum of Meppel. After her job in education, she completed the Creative Therapy course in Leeuwarden and the art course at the Academie de Werker in Groningen. She lives and works in Dwingeloo and is a member of the Beeldend Collectief Drenthe.

Truus Huijbregts A Passion for Wool Felt
During 22 years of living in Friesland, Truus Huijbregts discovered her passion for wool felt. Since then, she has been making her handmade tactile works with the necessary patience. The time that the felting process requires allows her to carefully consider what is created in her hands and to direct and manipulate where she finds it necessary. She likes to work with felt because it offers many possibilities for expression. In her work, Truus tries to find a balance between warmth, the attraction of felting, and abstract design. She uses colours in layers, which achieves transparency and intensity in colour. The fact that Truus works in the middle of the Frisian meadows, the Greidhoeke, is reflected in her work. Themes arising from this environment are 'landscape pain', shapes and surfaces from the topography and landscape colours. She is also inspired by her ancestors and memories. Truus is the founder of the Dutch Felt Academy, where various 'Craftsmanlike Felting' courses are offered.

Jet van Oosten My source of inspiration: The Italian painter Morandi
Jet van Oosten (Almelo 1954) graduated as a painter from ABK Minerva in 1984. Her source of inspiration is the Italian painter Morandi, who painted still lifes reduced to the essence. Since 2008, Jet has mainly made spatial work & installations with textiles in the leading role. In the period when she only made paintings, she had been collecting textiles for years, which she only started working with when she could give them meaning. 'The extraordinary of the ordinary' is a recurring theme in her work. In addition, other paradoxical things play an important role: 'repulsion next to desire, coldness next to softness, humor next to tragedy, austerity next to decoration, the ordinary next to the extraordinary'. Her search leads to the point where the extremes meet. Where a link with figuration (mostly the still life) can occasionally be made, her spatial installations (such as the Floor Object in White Tints, 2016–present) grow in an abstract way to their final form. The forms grow and pile up until the work is complete.
Exhibitions: Rijksmuseum Twente, Loods 6 Amsterdam, Kunstlab Deventer, De Salon in Rotterdam, Museum Boymans van Beuningen. Her work is in the collection of various museums, municipalities, companies, and art rental

Marian Hulshof Ode to the Trees
Marian Hulshof Montferland 1951) Reproduction and decay in nature are her sources of inspiration. With paintings and drawings she pays tribute to trees. Whimsical trees, which have been given time and space to develop their own identity. In untouched nature she is surprised time and again by mature trees. She transforms the trees into paintings of textiles with exuberant colours, textures and shapes. The process ranges from drawing, designing colour combinations on the computer, sewing, filling, stretching, pouring paint, to painting and spraying. This creates various textures and colour tones.
Education: Autonomous Visual Arts, Minerva Academy, Groningen.
Career: Teacher of communication skills at Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences in Groningen and Leeuwarden. Marian lives and works in Leeuwarden. She has exhibited at home and abroad, including in the Westergasfabriek (Amsterdam), De Lawei (Drachten), De Doas (Leeuwarden), De Werkvloer (Utrecht), Hof ter Saksen (Beveren/Belgium), Maison du Cambodge (Paris), Arato Museum (Masterton/New Zealand), Grateloup Saint Gayrand (France) and Hojas de Callosa (Spain).
