Final Work Art Orientation | past – present – future
About this activity.
One of the newest works of art in Groningen can be found in the bicycle tunnels to the new Suikerzijde district. The work was created by Wineke Gartz, who connects the past, present and future with her art at this location.
This new work of art was the reason for Kunstpunt to start a project with students from the Willem Lodewijk Gymnasium, who are taking the elective course Art Orientation.
They visited the tunnels, received text and explanation from Wineke about the creation process of the work of art, and brainstormed with her about the theme she had worked with: past, present and future.
In the exhibition Final Work Art Orientation | past – present – future, the students of the Willem Lodewijk Gymnasium now present the final results of the project. From very personal to very abstract, and with a large variety of materials and techniques.
