About this activity.

In the multimedia exhibition Knollenland, you will explore the fauna of the Groningen countryside. You will encounter animal life that we usually barely notice with the naked eye, as well as animals in their roles as landscape shapers. The exhibition reflects on the coexistence of humans and animals, which is not always romantic. While we love kingfishers and butterflies, how do we feel about biting mosquitoes and dangerous ticks?

All of this and much more can be found in Knollenland.

Extras at the exhibition

Knollenland extends beyond the walls of the MOW. Young visitors can explore the exhibition through their own dedicated route. Under the title Geschoten (Shot), nature photographers can contribute animal portraits. Would you prefer to experience the exhibition as a walk? That’s possible. Along the way, you can spot various animals connected to Westerwolde. Additionally, the exhibition challenges visitors with an interactive setup to reflect on biodiversity in the countryside.
