A low-stimulus museum visit
About this activity.
During the low-stimulus opening, you can admire the permanent collection and the exhibition Nymphenburg x Groninger Museum with as few environmental stimuli as possible. The museum allows a limited number of people. In the exhibition rooms, the lighting is dimmed and sounds and music are switched off. Several chairs will be placed in the exhibition rooms and it is possible to borrow a folding stool. In addition, the museum creates a special rest area.
The employees present are hospitable and accessible. They are always available to answer questions or provide assistance. The employees can guide you adequately and calmly. There is also a museum teacher in the room who can answer questions. Also download the preparation flyer and find out what to expect.

Register at boekingen@groningermuseum.nl, stating your name, the activity and how many people you want to participate with. Tickets cost € 5 + museum entrance (free for the collection exhibitions until 21 January). The costs can be paid at the museum on the day itself.
Groninger Museum.
Mede door een gift van 25 miljoen gulden van de Nederlandse Gasunie kon het Groninger Museum gerealiseerd worden. In 1994 werd het museum geopend door koningin Beatrix. Het museumgebouw geldt als één van de hoogtepunten van het postmodernisme. De uitgangspunten van de architect Mendini waren: geen hiërarchie in de kunstdisciplines, overvloedig gebruik van decoraties en samenwerken met gastontwerpers. Hierdoor ontstond een divers samenspel van ruimtes. In deze ruimtes wordt aandacht besteed aan vier uiteenlopende collecties: archeologie en geschiedenis van Groningen, kunstnijverheid, oude beeldende kunst en hedendaagse kunst.
