The performance “contraform” will take place at 5:00 PM.
For Echoes of the Biotoop, the team of the new Art Space KEL-30 has invited six artists to investigate the history and unique characteristics of the Biotoop. This concept encourages artists to create work that not only highlights the stories and echoes of the past, but also how these influence the present and future possibilities of the Biotoop. They are challenged to interact with the spatial, cultural and/or natural elements and integrate them into their artworks. All six artists work and experiment on site.
The participating artists are Jimi Kleinbruinink, Henrik Kröner, Helia Rafie, Marnix Sixma, Lisa Smithson and Beth Wong.
Open on Friday: 2-7 pm
Saturday and Sunday: 12-5 pm

The new Art Space KEL-30 is located in the basement of building C in the Biotoop in Haren, the former Biological Centre of the University of Groningen, where now people live, work and create.
The art space has a total surface area of 800 m² and aims to promote cultural diversity and exchange between artists within the local community as well as in a broader European context.
The basement with its raw, authentic spaces offers artists a playing field for creative freedom, where Art Space KEL-30 is all about 'daring' to play and experiment. KEL-30 values the cross-pollination between different art forms, science and other disciplines, which leads to innovative projects and new insights.
