DRIESTROMENLAND/THREE RIVERS LAND
About this activity.
On Saturday, July 6 at 1:00 PM the new exhibition will be opened
and Art Center K38 will be renamed 'Three Rivers Land/Driestromenland'.
This exhibition is organized by four northern artists, each working from a different discipline.
Participating artists are:
Harry Tuinman with paintings/collages,
Will Vos with sculptures,
Jasper Oostland with figurative paintings, and
Aletta Top showcasing mixed media/collages.
Despite their different techniques, they are connected by the internal drive to create. By choosing to be a visual artist and relating to the world through forms, colors, and materials. Literally translated, 'Driestromenland' means 'area where three rivers flow through'.
Be surprised by the intuitively made sculptures of Will Vos, the cheerful animals in human situations by Jasper Oostland, the abstracted paintings and collages of Harry Tuinman, and the atmospheric memory images 'Instant memories' of Aletta Top.
Smaller works will also be on display and for sale in the K38 Art Shop.
'Driestromenland' is an ode to the art of imagination and can be viewed until July 28.
