'DNA,' the new exhibition at Wall House #2
About this activity.
Connecting and distinctive: Wall House #2 brings new exhibition DNA
External and inner characteristics are stored in our DNA. How does that translate into art? The exhibition DNA will be on view at Wall House #2 starting July 20, 2024, with works by artists Silvio Zangarini and Richelle Brink.
DNA is the unique design for everyone's existence. A proprietary building plan that distinguishes peers from each other while connecting them. Anyone who searches for DNA via Google will soon find images of the double helix: the spiral staircases that contain all the hereditary information.
Silvio Zangarini (Turin 1981) exhibits the diversity of European architecture in his series Staircases to Elsewhere. He depicted decorative staircases in prominent buildings in a special way. The spiral shape of these staircases resembles DNA. This emphasizes the connection to the essence of the building, just as the spiral staircase in Wall House #2 connects the spaces of the architectural icon.
Exterior and interior
In addition to information about appearance, DNA also contains inner characteristics, such as personal qualities and talents. The paintings of Richelle Brink (Stadskanaal 1999) are based on suppressed, subconscious feelings. During the creative process she experiences creative freedom and tries to get a grip on her own emotions and feelings. The results are reflections of her state of mind.
Wall House #2.
