Kids’ Workshop

About this activity.

At VRIJDAG’s Kids’ Workshop, children can discover how much fun art and culture can be! Under the guidance of experienced artist-teachers, they get to explore visual arts, music, or theater. Whether they're learning to paint, taking a djembe workshop, or creating their own play, there’s a new, exciting activity every week.

Workshops

Each month, the Kids' Workshop has a different theme, with a new related sub-theme each week. We start with a short introduction to the theme and the day’s activities: visual arts and music or theater. You can decide on the spot which activity you’d like to join!

After the first activity, we take a fifteen-minute break, and then you can choose one of the other activities. If it’s your first time and you’re feeling a bit nervous, let us know or call us beforehand. You can also join for just half a session to try it out.

Note: Wear (old) clothes that can get messy.

Registration

No registration is required, but please arrive on time as space is limited, and we start promptly. Tickets are available upon entry: individual tickets cost €8, or you can get a strip card — a 5-strip card costs €40, and a 10-strip card costs €75. Payment is by card only.

VRIJDAG.

Iedereen kan meedoen aan kunst en cultuur. Dat is de missie van VRIJDAG, het huis van de amateurkunst voor Groningen. In de gemeente Groningen biedt VRIJDAG cursussen, lessen en workshops muziek, theater en beeldende kunst. Ook verzorgt VRIJDAG cultureel aanbod in de wijken en in het onderwijs. Via KultuurLoket adviseert en ondersteunt VRIJDAG amateurkunstenaars in de hele provincie Groningen en met POPgroningen stimuleert VRIJDAG popmuziek van Groningse bodem.
