About this activity.
Creating, Exploring, and Connecting at De Paradijsvogeltuin! For Oosterparkwijk residents, VRIJDAG students, and teachers.
Club_Create is a special arts week hosted by VRIJDAG, where you can discover new things for free and work in a different space than your regular studio, workshop, or classroom. This year, from March 24 to March 28, we’ll be working in De Paradijsvogeltuin in the Oosterparkwijk. Be inspired by the environment and the stories of the residents who live here in a unique way.
It will be a week full of new discoveries and encounters; making, eating, and experiencing together. And all of that with the wind in your hair and a glow on your cheeks!
What can you do?
- Play-stations: Creative tasks scattered around the site, which you can do individually or in groups.
- Daily workshops with different themes.
- Kids Workshop: A creative space specifically for children.
- Paradise Sessions: Play along or come watch a diverse music program by local residents and VRIJDAG students. From bands to ensembles and choirs.
- Balts Night: An evening of new encounters and dance.
- Pizza Nights: On Wednesday and Friday evenings, delicious pizzas will be baked in the wood oven.
Throughout the week, we’ll use materials already available on-site and items donated by local residents.
Where?
In De Paradijsvogeltuin, a green space in the Oosterparkwijk. This special place is on a former vacant lot owned by the municipality of Groningen, where local residents were given the opportunity to temporarily shape the space according to their own vision.
Will you join us?
De Paradijsvogeltuin is always open. VRIJDAG instructors will be present at set times, and there are several free workshops you can participate in. We look forward to experiencing a week full of creativity and joy with you!
VRIJDAG.
Iedereen kan meedoen aan kunst en cultuur. Dat is de missie van VRIJDAG, het huis van de amateurkunst voor Groningen. In de gemeente Groningen biedt VRIJDAG cursussen, lessen en workshops muziek, theater en beeldende kunst. Ook verzorgt VRIJDAG cultureel aanbod in de wijken en in het onderwijs. Via KultuurLoket adviseert en ondersteunt VRIJDAG amateurkunstenaars in de hele provincie Groningen en met POPgroningen stimuleert VRIJDAG popmuziek van Groningse bodem.
